James F. Cook, CEO
James F. Cook possesses proven leadership in building and transforming information service and financial service businesses in multi-regional and multi-product environments. Recognized as an industry visionary, Mr. Cook brings substantial knowledge and experience from a diverse background in senior executive management. Most recently he served as CEO and Principal for Strategic Global Concepts in Philadelphia, a development-stage Internet Management company. Prior to this Mr. Cook served as CEO of CBA Information Services, one of the largest TRW (now Experian) credit bureau affiliates in the country; Senior Vice President and International Operations and Systems Executive, Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A.; Senior Vice President and Divisional Head - Global Systems Services, Bank of America, N.T. & S.A.; and Vice President, Citibank, N.A. Mr. Cook holds an M.B.A. from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, a J.D. from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, and a B.A. from the University of Kansas. Mr. Cook is a member of the Michigan Bar Association. For the last seven years, Mr. Cook has been listed as one of the North American insurance industry's 100 most powerful people by Insurance Newscast, the newsletter edited by industry expert Walter Podgurski.
Lee B. Oliphant, President of MIB Group, Inc.
Lee B. Oliphant has demonstrated effective executive management leadership in information service businesses and high technology companies. Prior to his appointment as President of MIB Group, Inc., Mr. Oliphant was Executive Vice President of MIB Solutions, an MIB Group company, where he lead the successful development of new MIB product offerings and increased the usage of MIB’s core products in new markets. During Mr. Oliphant’s eleven year career at MIB Group, he has served as Vice President Sales and Marketing and MIB’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Oliphant held several senior financial positions at both start-up and large high-technology companies in the Boston area. He started his career in public accounting, and he is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Oliphant received an M.B.A. from Boston College, and has a B.S. in Business Administration from Lehigh University.
Jonathan W. Sager, Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Jonathan W. Sager was recently promoted to Executive Vice President & General Counsel. He also serves as Chief Privacy Officer, Chief Security Officer and Corporate Secretary. He was appointed as Vice President & General Counsel in September 2005. He came to MIB with extensive experience in life and health insurance regulatory compliance, privacy law, claims, and insurance company operations. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Sager served as Counsel to the Health Care Affairs division of Excellus Health Plan, a large regional health plan in New York State; Counsel to the life and health insurance practice group of Hinman Straub, P.C, an Albany, New York law firm; and Senior Counsel, Insurance Operations and Litigation, MONY Life Insurance Company where he also served as Chief Privacy Officer. Mr. Sager is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), a member of both the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and the Association of Corporate Counsel, and a member of both the New York State Bar Association and Florida State Bar. Mr. Sager holds a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, where he served as Note and Comment Editor for Washington & Lee Law Review, and a B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.
Robert L. DiAngelo, Executive Vice President of MIB Group, Inc. and MIB, Inc.
Appointed Executive Vice President of MIB Group and MIB, Inc. in June of 2006, Mr. DiAngelo has operational responsibility for MIB, Inc. and its core fraud detection services. Prior to assuming that role, Mr. DiAngelo served as Vice President, Chief Information Officer for MIB Group. During his tenure as Chief Information Officer, Mr. DiAngelo directed the strategic reengineering of MIB’s core technology, including the adoption of the industry standard ACORD model for business-to-business communication with customers. His technology team received the prestigious SHARE 2005 Award for Excellence in Technology in recognition of their work. Mr. DiAngelo has also held positions in sales, marketing and product development at MIB. Mr. DiAngelo holds an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Stacy J. Gill, Executive Vice President of MIB Group, Inc. and MIB Solutions, Inc.
Stacy J. Gill has been a corporate officer with MIB since 1999. Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice President of MIB Solutions, he led the company’s Actuarial and Statistical Research Group as Vice President, with responsibility for research and product development as well as the industry-wide experience studies and medical impairment studies conducted by the Center for Medico-Actuarial Statistics (CMAS). Mr. Gill has held roles of increasing responsibility in technology, industry research and product development. He has presented at numerous industry conferences and groups including the Society of Actuaries, the Association of Home Office Underwriters, and the American Academy of Insurance Medicine. Mr. Gill earned his M.S. in Actuarial Science and his B.S. in Mathematics, both from Boston University.
Linda J. Barnes, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Linda J. Barnes joined MIB Group, Inc. as Controller in May 1999. She was promoted to Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in January 2007. Ms. Barnes brings over 25 years experience in accounting, financial systems, business management and operations to MIB. Ms. Barnes joined MIB from Inso Corporation where she was Vice President Financial Systems and prior to that Vice President, Controller for the company. Ms. Barnes began her career as an Internal Auditor with a gas and electric utility in Madison, Wisconsin. Upon moving to Boston in 1982, Ms. Barnes joined Houghton Mifflin Company where she held positions of increasing management and financial reporting responsibility in the Finance and Accounting Systems group. Ms. Barnes later became Vice President and Business Manager for Houghton Mifflin’s Software Division, which was ultimately spun-out in an IPO to form Inso Corporation. Ms. Barnes is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an M.B.A. from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
Kevin J. Love, SPHR, Vice President of Human Resources
Kevin J. Love joined MIB Group, Inc. in January, 2007 and has several years of strong human resources experience from several industries including financial services, manufacturing, general service, and technology businesses. Mr. Love began his career in a recruiting specialty, which transitioned quickly into HR leadership roles with Associates First Capital (now Citigroup), Energetic Solutions (now Orica), and Centex Home Equity Corporation (now Nationstar Mortgage) in Dallas, TX. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Love provided HR leadership to Iron Mountain for 7 years in the off-site data protection and technology escrow businesses and served as their Director of Benefits at the corporate headquarters in Boston, MA. Mr. Love earned an M.B.A. from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and a B.S. in Communication from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He has attended several HR professional development programs from SHRM, NEHRA, NEEBC, Cornell University, and is a SPHR certified HR professional.
